Valuation Standards in Nigeria

The Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON) has produced the Nigerian Valuation Standards ("the Green Book") 2019 in accordance with its obligations under the ESVARBON Act Cap E13 LFN 2007 and subsequent regulations.

The Nigerian Valuation Standards is a comprehensively robust valuation practice document incorporating high level valuation principles and embracing the adoption and implementation of universal valuation standards.

The Green Book has been designed and achieved by fully adopting and effectively domesticating the International Valuation Standards (IVS) 2017 and utilising the RICS Valuation - Global Standards 2017 as a delivery framework.

The Green Book ensures that valuations undertaken in Nigeria are performed and delivered to the highest internationally recognised valuation standards.

All ESVARBON Registered Valuers are to implement the Green Book in providing valuation services in Nigeria.

Always verify your valuer's status https://www.esvarbon.gov.ng/register-of-esvs/ and ensure that the valuation complies with the Green Book.
